Episode 12 of Utena really struck me. From Touga undercutting Utena until she felt forced into the normal uniform instead of choosing to herself, to an unseen fangirl saying Utena looked ‘even better now’ though she was unhappy.
If you follow society’s expectation, you’ll be better approved. Your desires surely does not matter in comparison.
Utena is an amazing anime.
Also, shout out to Karma who helped me with the idea of the background. I probably would have gone for just basic color. GIRL YOU AND YOUR CREATIVITY.

- utena: a budding social justice blogger who, despite her good intentions, doesn't always react well to being called out
- anthy: a pastel/kawaii blogger who makes cutesy text posts but occasionally puts disturbing things in tag-only posts
- akio: one of those ~respected~ social justice bloggers who is excused from his frequent bigotry because of his large following. Also has a side blog devoted to artsy porn.
- touga: a MRA who claims that he wants Equality for Everyone. He doesn't specifically like the term "MRA" so he calls himself an Egalitarian.
- saionji: one of those sad, misguided hypocritical conservative teenagers who make text posts about politics with very little logic to them
- miki: music blogger. pretty pictures.
- juri: one of those sad, sad blogs on the corner of the internet with about three followers (who follow out of pity) who makes long personal posts about heartbreak under read mores. However, she runs a popular fashion/jewelry side blog.
- nanami: popular blogger who spends a lot of time making fun of other bloggers. she reblogs every one of touga's posts.
- wakaba: a fandom/cats blogger. occasional porn with tags like "i wish".
- shiori: fashion blogger
- mitsuru: reblogs every one of nanami's posts, including the ones that nanami reblogged from touga.
- kozue: porn and fashion.
