“And this of course is Aragorn’s sword Anduril, Flame of the West, re-forged from the shards of Narsil, given to me by Viggo Mortensen. Now, this has nothing to do with the metaphor - I just want to remind everyone that I have this.”

Pippin is my spirit animal
I’m pretty sure I’ve reblogged this before, but it just makes me laugh so much that I’ll reblog it every time I see it.
Oh, Pippin.
Merry: confused awe
Frodo: confused awe

Pippin is the best diva
So you know how elves can have the gift of foresight i feel that even though not all elves can see their next meal or shit, they sort of get this feeling of when they have reached their ending. so when ever i get to this scene i have trouble breathing because its like Haldir is standing there putting his last strand of hope for light in this dark and dreary world in a group of rag-tag army of men, a king who refuses to claim his birthright, and a halfling that is going half mad whilst walking right to mordor when he looks out over the edge of the wall and suddenly he knows “this is it. i’m not going back. i can’t go back.” and it’s like you can see his heart be torn in pieces because he will never know if the dark will win or lose and he is so afraid that this will have all been in vain, but he knows that Aragorn is strong so he stops the doubt that threatens to overwhelm him and its like you can hear his very heart and soul whisper to his troops “forgive me, i have led you to your deaths” even as he says to himself “if given the chance, i wouldn’t change a thing.”
COME TO MEEEE EXTENDED VERSIONS. YOU CAN HAVE MY WEEKEND.
I think I might start ugly crying “Thoriiiiiiiin” when Bilbo gives the mithril to Frodo.

I loved his expression too much, aha forgive me
I swear one of these days I’m going to re-watch the entire trilogy, only focusing on Legolas’ expressions.
