Kamina-Simon

The official Gurren Lagann relationships graph (found in the Basic Drill’, the initial guide-book to Gurren Lagann and in Final Drill guide-book, covering the latter part of the series) sets their relationship invariably as ‘相棒’ ( “Partners” in japanese). Kamina and Simon remain partners even after Kamina’s death.

Kamina-Yoko

This realationship is designated as ‘10倍返しの恋’ (“Tenfold return of love”) in Basic Drill and ‘恋’ (Love) in Final Drill (which means that even after his death Kamina still loves Yoko, mutually).
